Refinshed and Restored Antique Early 1900s Wood Storage Box with 64 Compartments - $89 - (Smithsburg, MD)
Great storage box for a collector. Box is made of 5/16" solid wood and assembled using finger joints for strength. Lid is eased over and 1/4" thick. Brass hinge support keeps box open when in use. Original brass hinges are in good working order. Box measures 12 5/8" wide x 11 1/8" deep and 1 1/2" tall. The 64 compartments measure 1 3/8" x 1 1/16" x 3/4". Overall depth of box is 1". Box was refinished with MinWax Satin varnish and hand-buffed with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. This is beautiful one-of-a-kind item that any collector would prize. A glue joint on the lid has opened up due to wood shrinkage (see last picture). Shipping weight approximately 3 pounds. Very Fast Handling! Ships day after payment is received.
