The Gibson Mandolin Banjo Banjolin MB Excellent Vintage Condition Rare #62 - $2,295 - (Indianapolis, IN)

This is a BEAUTIFUL "The Gibson" Mandolin Banjo, Banjolin (or whatever you want to call it) in Excellent Vintage Condition - Stamped Serial Number 8491-23- Some people believe this is the MB-2, others the MB-3, I'm not sure, but either way it appears to be approaching 100 years old, if not there already- "The Gibson" and fret markers look like mother of pearl- Includes the original case with a newer handle, rough external condition, but protects this relic well- Includes a full set of 8 used strings that I removed from the tuning pegs for pictures- Other identifiers on the inside include "The Gibson", "Gibson Inc." "Kalamazoo", and a brass plaque with the name "Joseph Neubauer" Note: All parts are present, including the bridge, but it needs a tailpiece - i.e. where the strings are anchored at the bottom. I have included a picture of the broken tailpiece that I removed before pictures. This is a rare find, and I'm confident you will appreciate the condition of this antique instrument. Enjoy!
