I bought this snare and have never played it. (I don't play any more because of my hearing). It was up-graded with pure sound percussion snare wires ... Aquarian texture coated center dot batter head . Aquarian Classic Clear snare head . 8 lug . 14 x 6.5" with serial number: 489645. I stored it in a heavy padded EMK 6.5 x 14" LEVY'S Snare bag for protection. It is in excellent like new condition. I'm not sure but I think that it might be a black beauty? It is a beauty for sure. I'm going to include the bag with the snare and I pack for a safe trip anywhere. Thank you for your bid, Ron
