Amazing Rare Gold Painted 1843-45 Cornelia Astral Solar Whale Oil/Lard Banquet Lamp Please consider this beautiful oil converted electric lamp (16 inches tall; 5 inches wide at the marble base, 6 inches wide globe holder, no globe). The unmarked lamp is in good condition with gold painted brass. Gold loss is observed with dents in marble base. The lamp works with new socket, harp and cord. It may be converted back to whale oil/lard but there is no burner. The dome-shaped air deflector (increase air to burner is present. For reference see Ebay item #262246281547 for another example of this lamp type with detailed history. This is a very good collectible. I collected my items from estate sales, antique shops and flea markets. The condition is used. If there are characteristics you require in this item, please ask about them.
