Strong spinning wheel drive band - creamy yellow - $8 - (Olympia, WA)

This is 6 yards of creamy yellow color spinning wheel drive band. It's incredibly strong cord waxed cotton cord. It feels more like leather with just enough of a grooved surface that your knot stays tied! I went on a mission looking for this type of drive band, because I have wheels that I use under high tension. I have the Wooley Winder it is important to keep the tension tight for maximum draw in. I was going through cotton drive bands like crazy because they break or stretch so often. Then I found this cord. It's marvelous! I have had this band on my wheels for over a year and it doesn't break (for me anyway). It is important to tie your knot tight when you do the join so it doesn't slip loose. It's not going to stretch or break. Sometimes I put a drop of either hot wax (using a Q-Tip) or a drop of clear nail polish on the knot itself. Solid as a rock. The colors have never rubbed off on my wheels in all forms of weather. If you absolutely hate this stuff, please know that I will refund your total amount. Note: If you have a very large wheel that you thread double drive, please measure the drive band you have on it now. If 6 yard lengths are not right for you, these will not fit.
