French Magazine Mode Pratique Oct. 1916 1910s Fashion Sewing, Knitting Antique - $20 - (Bonaire, GA)

This is a beautiful and very rare French ladies' magazine from 1916.Mode Pratique (Practical Fashion) is full of beautiful fashion plates, embroidery designs, advertisements, articles and more. It also has some war/ patriotism-themed articles written during WWI.This issue features 14 large pages of beautifully illustrated dress and hat fashions, embroidery lessons, and detailed illustrations of pattern layouts and sewing instructions for some of the dresses featured. While these aren't exactly patterns, they are quite useful in drafting up or adjusting existing patterns to match.There is also a novel supplement included.The magazine is in good but aged condition and has all pages (see photos) with some foxing and browning from age, wear to the spine, and a few small creases and minor tears.It measures 10" wide and 14" tall.
