1797 (FM) Mexico 8 Reales in XF Condition with Chopmarks We are offering a very nice old Silver 8 Reales. Listed in the KP Standard Catalog of World Coins as KM#109, this coin weighs 27.0674 grams and is 0.8960 Silver with 0.7797 ASW. The obverse shows a depiction of Charles IV and the reverse shows a Crowned Shield flanked by Pillars with Banner. As is common with these Silver Reales, there are various Chopmarks on both sides from vendors/artisans of the day who would put their stamp of approval on the coin to verify the coins Authenticity!
