Vtg Antique Wheeler & Wilson D-9 Sewing Machine - Working Motor - Needs New Belt This baby is an oldie. The oldest patent date listed on the plate is Aug 2, 1892. The wheel turns freely and smoothly. Does have a bobbin with thread still on it. The motor runs great, but the belt is too worn / loose and will not turn the wheel. There is rust and wear on this machine - please see all photos. I do not know if the light works as I didn't have a bulb to fit.Total weight BEFORE packing is aprox 26.5 lbs. INFORMATION PROVIDED TO ME BY ANOTHER EBAY USER PERTINENT TO THIS SEWING MACHINE: This machine would have been built by Singer between 1905 & about 1908. Singer bought the W&W company in 1905 but continued their D-9 series through around 1908. These machines continued unchanged with the W&W decals, fit W&W cabinets etc, but were llisted in Singer catalogs, though not marked as such on the machines as the Singer 9W1. Around 1908 the beds were modified to fit Singer cabinets & Singer decals were used. These machines were cataloged as a Singer 9W7 & were made through 1913.
