DIC N2 (infinity corrected)/0.17 WD 1.0 OFN25 Microscope Objective. The objective is made in Japan by Nikon. This is a very good all-purpose objective. It is recommended by Nikon for use with Brightfield (BF), Darkfield (DF), Differential Interference Contrast (DIC), Polarization (POL), Fluorescence (FL with visible light, UV is possible, but not recommended), and Near Infrared ( NIR) microscopic applications. Thread size is 25mm for use on all modern Nikon microscopes including the complete Eclipse series instruments, 55i, etc. The body of the objective is spring loaded. NOTE: If you plan to use this objective for DIC, please make sure you are using the matching condenser slider DIC N2.
