Aiwa CX-LMT22 Stereo Shelf System CD/MiniDisc/Cassette/Radio - $50 - (Rocky Mount, NC)

For sale is an Aiwa CX-LMT22 (or LCX-MT22 as listed on the front) stereo shelf system with speakers, remote control, and AM/FM antennas. The system includes a CD player, MiniDisc player, cassette tape player, and a radio. The system powers on but the display is VERY light (see NOTE below). The speakers work fine. The CD player works fine. The radio works fine. The MiniDisc works, but for some reason it seems to stop playing after about 15 or 20 minutes. You can hit play again and the MiniDisc will begin to play again for another 15/20 minutes and then stop playing again (see NOTE below for possible reason). The cassette tape player DOES NOT work. Not sure what the issue is with it. I have not tested MiniDisc recording. Also, the remote doesn't seem to work. It worked before, but now it is not working. Do not know what the issue is. May just need the contacts cleaned. Not sure. So I am selling this system *AS IS* * FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY*. Hopefully someone can get the non-working parts working and revive this cute little system! NOTE: This system was made in Japan and is a 100 volt system. The U.S. uses 120 volt electrical power for consumer goods. This may be why the system has some issues because I have not used a converter to step down the system from 120 volts to 100 volts.
