Antique 1911 Shredded Wheat Letter & Niagara Falls Book The Wonders of Niagara - $73 - (Woodsville, NH)

This well-preserved antique brochure is a promotional effort by the Shredded Wheat Co. originally located in Niagara Falls, NY. The booklet gives detailed information on the famous waterfall and offers a verbal and pictorial tour of the Shredded Wheat Co.'s own factory. It is shameless promotion of their cereal products! Also included is an 8.5" x 11" letter from the company to the woman in Pike, NH, who originally sent for the materials. The letter is in excellent condition with its original color letterhead and a date of 1911 on the bottom left; though it was folded in quarters, there are no tears along any of the folds. Some monochromatic photos are inside the 5" x 6.75" pamphlet which has the date 1914, but the ad pages are colored as well as the covers, which are lithos by the Niagara Litho Co. of Buffalo. Very minor corner and edge wear on the booklet, no tears; mild crease on the lower left back cover. Amazingly good condition for a brochure and letter over one hundred years old!
