Some of the most beautiful and refined furniture ever made, displaying the highest level of artistic and technical ability, was created in Paris during the eighteenth century. Much admired by an international clientele, it was used to furnish residences all over Europe and also influenced fashions of cabinetmaking outside France.These are an exquisite (true) pair of tall Louis XV Columns/ Pedestals created by a Master Sculpteur in the mid 18th Century . They are sumptuous creations which , in the eye of a Paleophile of the "Grand Siecle" style of Louis XV are absolutely breathtaking . This is due to the the extreme design features , from small bases(10.5") versus the large capitals (17") , the strangely Asymmetrical deeply scuplted forms and flourishes contrasted by its mate making them completely Symmetrical when together . ( Similar to a french garden ). They embody the greatest time known for Luxury in Design. I have lived with them for over a decade , and raised them a foot ( from 8' to 9' )with the included (faux hand painted , which was very cpmmon in the 18th century) Marble Risers. I then placed Girondelles Lamp Chandeliers lights on top ( not included ). They are master works worthy of placement in a Palace , or your palace. They were re gold leafed in Paris by Nguyen Studios in the early 2000's .
