Vintage AKAI CR-80D-SS Stereo/Quad 8-Track Player Recorder - $225 - (Robertsdale, AL)

Vintage AKAI CR-80D-SS Stereo/Quad 8-Track Player Recorder. Unit has been tested with an 8-track cartridge, plays well. Program selector works on all 4. Fast forward does function. However, I am unable to determine if the record function operates, as I do not have a blank tape. Likewise on the quad function, I do not have a quadraphonic tape. I can not get any sound from the rear channel. The sound output from the front channel is very low. Audible, but low. This unit will need some type of repair and or cleaning to be fully functional. Wood shows wear and scuffing as seen in the photos. Likewise on the black metal areas. Unit will ship free, (in USA), and will be packaged with care.
