1873 Liberty Seated Half Dollar 50C with PCGS and CAC! But an Old Green Holder!! - $3,333 - (Hebron, NH)

This is a really nice 1873 Liberty Seated Half Dollar (50C)!! According to PCGS, there are only 36 of these coins known to exist in better condition than this coin! And if it it were to re-grade at PR65, there are only 18 better coins known to exist!! It is in one of the PCGS Old Green Holders. Coins in these older holders are known for very often being under-graded! Importantly, this coin has been in a drawer for at least 20 years, so it hasn't been picked over by dealers or collectors. I was really hoping CAC would Gold Sticker it, but it came back Green Sticker. I've thought about sending it in to PCGS for Reconsideration grading at 65, but have decided to sell it as is. When you angle it in the light, there is incredibly beautiful shimmering bright blue toning all around the outside edge of the reverse of the coin! Within that ring of blue there is nice gold color with a little bit of pink. The obverse has some color as well, mostly brighter gold with a little blue/green. It's a really pretty coin! It's my favorite, but buy it and enjoy it yourself! Shipping is expensive because the insurance is expensive. Please see my other coin auctions!
