This auction is for a used Vintage Samson Steel Fishing Rod Union Hardware Co Torrington Conn. Marking on the pole: MANUFACTURING. UNION HARDWARE COMPANY TORRINGTON CONN. U.S.A. This is a old metal 4 pc. fishing pole. It has glass eye's - chips are in the eyelets - cork on the handle has some chucks out of it and holes from the hooks - light surface rust to the metal - bend in the top section (I did not try to straighten) - cleaned up or restored it would be a nice pole to add to a collection. Length of the pole is 5 ft. 3- sections are 18" long and the handle is 10¾" Good pole to restore and add to a collection or just use. Actual weight 6 oz. I will put in a box soit will not get bent up in shipping. I have not attempted to buff or clean this item in any way. Please look closely to the pictures to see the condition of the shade.
