ANTIQUE LARGE J.E. CARLDWELL & CO. PHILADELPHIA SLATE CLOCK - $1,200 - (Locust Grove, VA)

This is a Antique J.E. Carldwell Philadelphia slate clock. The clock is extremely heavy excess if 50lbs. The clock's face is stamped (although faded) J.E. Carldwell across the top of the face and a more visible Philadelphia (across the bottom). The clock includes a key however it does not include the pendulum and there are various chips on the clock which is to be expected for it's age. It does have a service label on it from a clock repair shop in Philadelphia with the repair date appearing to be 11/07/30. I donot know if this clock is operational because I inherited it. It is a very stately clock.
