Vintage GEORGIAN GIBSONS Stafforshire England teapot with baskets of VIOLETS. Numbered teapot with hand painted gold accents. Very good to excellent condition and clean. Vented lid. Five hole filter inside. Embossed and stamped maker's marks Measures 5 5/8ths inches high by 10 inches across the handle and spout. Weighs 1 pound 11 ounces. There is natural crazing. No cracks or gouges. I find one flaw on the interior of the lid: there is a 1/16th of an inch round nick on the underside rim of the lid. It looks like a tiny glaze flake (SEE PIC # 11). Faint tea stains on the interior. This well-made and colorful teapot is clean, bright and ready for service and display. WHITE SPOTS AND STREAKS ARE REFLECTIONS AND GLARE FROM THE LIGHTING.
