DESCRIPTION Audio Research SP-9 MKI Stereo Tube Preamp with phono Silver face! With Tesla ECC88 in line section. 2-Tubes included. Copy of manual included. Preamp is very holographic and musical timbre is stunning. This preamp trounces a lot of the newer stuff. Sound is very robust and clean, especially the bottom end. This preamp is classic Audio Research - huge detailed spacious soundstage with tube depth of field. Not murky rather very fine nuances are conveyed. Phono stage is outstanding. CONDITION Cosmetic: Very good overall condition. 7/10 overall. Some marks on top edge and ding lower left corner. Face has light marks below "Audio Research" logo. Top panel screws not original but close visual match. One top screw spins in place. Some oxidation on knurled faceplate screws (backside of face=not visible from front). See pics.
