Conrad Johnson Premier 3 (revised) - $1,900 - (Caledonia, MI)
Purchased preamp from second owner in 2010, have rebuilt power supply, upgraded selector switch OE, mode switch OE, and replaced stepped balance control with 1% resistor's that are static and current matched to .05% circuit's are still totally stock with new power cord. Phono section has smooth plate Telefunken's, RCA command series 5751's and new nos black plate 5965. Line stage is CJ tubes - JAN5751 (3) clear top 5965. All tubes test strong without short's or emissions leak's. This Premier 3 revised was put into service in Novemberof 1987 making it a very late production unit. I've enjoyed the sound this unit produces with my Premier 11A amplifier, it's just time to try one more new preamp. When I purchased the preamp the front panel was not mint as the previous owner stated so I ordered a new front panel from Conrad Johnson, and it still looks new. There are small scratches on the top of the panel where the RCA jacks are, but are only visible when the top cover is removed considering that the Premier 3 is thirty one plus years old I would rate the overall condition excellent or near mint. I have two copies of the owners manual one from Conrad Johnson and one from the previous owner, but no shipping carton. I will purchase new double wall shipping carton and included lot's of packing around the unit. Shipping only to the lower 48 states. Message with any questions regarding the unit.
