ANTIQUE VICTORIAN c.1880s CRANBERRY GLASS VASE RUFFLED TOP EDGE ENCIRCLED BY CLEAR RIGAREE SILVER LILY OF THE VALLEY HOLDER ONYX BASE EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION Offered for your consideration is an elegant antique cranberry vase encircled by clear glass rigaree that is held in a silver lily of the valley holder set upon an elegant onyx base. Originating from the Victorian period, likely 1880s, the top of this vase is elegantly ruffled. (Cranberry glass was made by the addition of real gold to molten glass during its manufacture.) In this vase there are a few to-be-expected signs of authenticity of period of origination seen in antique glass such as occasional bubbles, carbon spot, etc. (see photo #5.) It measures approximately 12-1/4" tall by 5" wide (onyx base) and is in excellent antique condition. Note: the lily of the valley holder does lean slightly to one side; it appears to be from original manufacture and I mention it in the interest of full disclosure only. This vase would be an elegant addition to anyone's antique cranberry glass and /or lily of the valley motif collections, the beginning of a new collection, or merely as an elegant decorative accessory.
