JAEGER-LECOULTRE RARE DOUBLE PANEL "KOI Fish" MOTIF TABLE CLOCK , Ref. 491 "KOI" The present clock is an extremely rare Jaeger Lecoultre Skeletonized Hand Painted Enamel Desk clock from the 60s. It is part of an extremely limited series where Jaeger Lecoultre produced a wide range of different motifs from caravelles to fish to create decorative clocks in various designs. Very few of these are still found today and for the true Jaeger Lecoultre clock collector this is certainly a trophy to find. Accompanied by the original box, the clock is in perfect working condition with little to no wear to the enamel and outside case. Additionally, the mechanism has been serviced and cleaned and keeps proper time. Additional Catalog Details: Made circa 1963. Fine and extremely rare, gold-plated brass and glass, 8-day going table clock with two hand-painted enamel panels designed as KOI Fish & Coral motif made for the asian market. Accompanied by the original Jaeger Lecoultre box. Rectangular, polished and brushed gold-plated brass framework, flanking the clock on each enamel "koi" panel with black background surrounding a skeletonized 8 day movement.. - Dial with applied polished and brushed gold-plated brass hour indexes. The movement: The Gold-plated Dauphine hands. Cal. 201, baguette, 16 jewels, train running in straight line in small two bar frame, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with self-compensating Breguet balance spring.
