Large Antique Victorian Twisted-Wire Baby Rattle - $325 - (Broadway, VA)

A not-often-seen Victorian twisted-wire 'bells & whistle' baby rattle suitable for a serious collection. This large amusing and unique rattle Measures 9 inches high and about 5 inches wide. The twisted and looped wire arms hold 10 little brass bells. Inside the open-bottom bells are turquoise glass-bead 'ringers'. The bottom end of the delicate wooden handle is a whistle. CONDITION: In overall good condition. Two of the bells are missing their turquoise glass-bead ringers. and about 1/2 inch of the very tip of the wooden handle (part of the whistle) has been 'bitten off' or chewed off, undoubtedly by a teething toddler.
