Target Unknown title lobby card 1951 "The U.S. Air Force Secret Story" - $8 - (Glen Mills, PA)
This TC is from the original release of the 1951 film. This TC is in Excellent+ condition (see the paragraph below). There are no pinholes showing on the card. There are a couple of small border nits, not much else. There is also some aging dust on this 67 year old title card. As presented the TC is overall very nice. Great Universal graphics. This is the Title lobby card for the original release of the film. Lobby cards are 11" by 14" and were printed to be shown in the lobbies of movie theaters. My collection is mostly of the Title Card of the 8 lobby cards. This title card usually gave the film title and the main acting and directing credits as well as an overall scene or view of the film. Usually one or more of the main actors is shown. As far as condition of the individual title cards my grading system is Fair-Excellent-Fine-Near Mint. I add a plus sign if the card is at the top of its class. Example: Excellent + or Fine+. I try to point out any condition variation that is less than really good. Many of these variations would be passed by most buyers and sellers. These lobby cards are mostly over 50 years old and have passed through a number of hands before they reached me. They were never meant to reach the public's hands and become collectibles.
