Vintage retro 1950s bride and groom cake topper - never used - $25 - (Eugene, OR)

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE In the 1930's my friend's grandfather opened a general store in rural Washington state, eventually handing over the business to his two sons. Now, well over half a century later, the store is closed and the family is sorting through the inventory still on the back shelves. Most of the items are from the 1950's and still in their original boxes. Many of the listings in my store came from those shelves. DescriptionThis is a vintage cake topper. Although it's never been out of the box it came in, there are a couple of places on the groom's suit that are scaped. I don't know if the topper came this way or it happened due to being moved around on the store shelves. Either way, the spots are small and could easily be overlooked or filled in with black enamel paint. The topper is about 4 1/2" from bottom to top of groom's head. The bride's dress and veil are made of stiff net fabric with gold shiny glitter-like accents. The little bouquet she carries is probably taffeta.
