MakeBlock XY-Plotter Robot Kit v2.0 (With Electronics) (Modified) - $129 - (West Edmeston, NY)
Greetings! This MakeBlock XY-Plotter has been modified by replacing the original (poorly designed) stepper motor controllers with two SparkFun Big Easy ROB-12859 driver boards, one for each motor. Also the original (poorly written) controller software was replaced on the Arduino UNO (included) with GRBL software (open-source, embedded G-code parser and CNC milling controller). Hence it is NOT the original kit, but in fact, something better. I recommend the purchaser have basic electronic skills (soldering, connecting) as this is definitely for the hobbyist.My reason for selling is I have moved on to other projects....You can turn this into an XY plotter, or a laser engraver (purchase laser option from MakeBlock) or CNC machine for an airbrush or Dremel tool.It will be shipped partially dismantled and does not include the plywood base shown in pics.
