Antique CRUCIBLE KNIFE CO. NEW YORK 2 BLADE ***** SUPER RARE ******! - $290 - (Oxford, NY)

This is a beautiful high quality knife with an interesting short history of only 3 years!Finding one is luck, finding one in even good condition is a prize!This vintage knife measures 3" closed.The main clip has a long pull and the Pen has a regular pull.The bolsters, pins and shield are nickle silver and perfect. The liners and center scale are brass. The main blade (clip)has a long pull, still has factory edge and is marked Crucible Knife Co. (arched) on the tang. The smaller pen blade appears to have been lightly wet stone sharpened and has tiny nicks (see photo). Both blades minimal some wear from use and some patina darkening from age. Amazing springs that snap sharply.The pen blade has no wobble and clip blade has the slightest almost not noticeable play.The absolutely striking handles are butter & molasses celluloid iridescent mother of pearl with black wave lines and in close to perfect condition. ( photo might not capture the stunning iridescence). The Crucible Knife Company existed in New York City for just 3 years, 1926-1929, before going out of business after the 1929 stock market crash. If you are a serious NY knife collector this is one for the case. The Craftsmanship of this knife is what separates this sleeper from many cutlery companies. I am listing this for 30 days.
