Vintage 1950s Lighted Realist Red Button 3D Stereo Viewer Model ST61 w/ ORIGINAL BOX! VIEWER HAS BEEN SERVICED, TESTED & WORKS GREAT!________________________________________ I have been collecting 3D media for the last 30 years and have finally decided it's time to part ways with some of my favorite things. This is a battery operated Realist Red Button Stereoscopic Viewer Model ST 61 in it's original box. It was manufactured by David White Company made to accompany the Realist Stereo cameras. Also included are 20 vintage 3D color Kodachrome Realist slides in cardboard mounts from the 1960s and 70s. The Stereo Viewer:The viewer is Excellent! The lenses are clean and clear! The focus adjustment and interocular adjustments also work perfectly. I have gone through the viewer, cleaned the lenses and all electrical contact points, put in a new bulb and tested it thoroughly - It works GREAT! The viewer has been used and does have some small superficial wear as can be seen in my photos... It also has a decal from a Chicago camera shop on the back side (BASS CAMERA CO, Chicago IL Since 1910) which I could have removed, but think it adds personality and provenance to it. Despite these imperfections, there are no cracks or chips in the bakelite. It takes two "D" size batteries (not included) so it it is mobile and can be taken anywhere. The Original Box:Excellent as well! The original 1950s box was for a Realist Viewer & Camera. The box has a duel purpose... While the camera has been long separated from the viewer and box, the box can hold the viewer and a camera - it has the additional insert which has also been lost which holds the camera in place, or the insert can be tossed (as it was with this one) and can be used just to hold the viewer and several slides. The box does have some wear as can also be seen in my photos - Regardless, it is very sturdy and holds the viewer and slides very securely. This is a nice original set that doesn't turn up too often!
