Antique Chiavari style side chairs 1800's Lot of 3 Rush and cane seats - $300 - (Platteville, WI)

Antique Lot of 3 side chairs, also known as fancy chairs. Two of the chairs are Chiavari style (after quite a bit of research) with one being known as an event chair or a wedding chair style. It is lightweight like a Chiavari and is all wood. The other Chiavari style is more ornate all over. The upper back slat is carved and the legs are also Chiavari style with the slight flare at the very bottom of the legs. It also has a rush seat that is Chiavari which is wrapped entirely around the seat structure. This rush seat has a bit of separation, but otherwise is sound. Original rush seat may have been replaced. The third chair has one loose rung but the rush seat is in very good shape. Fixing the rung is a relatively simple fix. Two are darker in color and the third (the event Chiavari style) is lighter golden. All have a beautiful patina! Sound and sturdy with only wear from age. Local pickup only.
