Vintage Retro Knit Fabric Country Scenes Fishing Swimming Mill Pond 60" x 4 Yds - $13 - (Westminster, MD)

4 yards x 60" of vintage knit fabric with very unusual scenes and retro colors - brown, orange, yellow and blue on a white background. The print is of leisurely country scenes reminiscent of Grandma Moses paintings. Lots of details! - A woman carrying a basket crossing a bridge to an old grist mill - A group of children sitting under a shady tree with a hound dog chewing a bone, with a clothesline and cabins in the background - Boys sitting on a log, fishing in a swampy part of the mill race with waterlilies and cattails - People relaxing in a circle by a split rail fence with a rake laid to the side, and a jug of moonshine - A man swimming in the mill race with his boots and clothes on the shore and just his head sticking out of the water - A woman outside a cabin dumping something in the yard --possibly feeding chickens - Lots of trees, grass, hay, sky, clouds, dirt road, etc. The fabric is a thin jersey knit. I believe it is 100% cotton--I conducted a fabric burn test--but I am not sure. This fabric is a bit freaky at first glance but the artwork and the stories it tells are wonderful! 60" wide x 4 complete yards plus a bit extra. This fabric is truly unusual. Thank you for looking!
