Vintage 1972 Olds Single F French Horn - $149 - (Ann Arbor, MI)

Here is a nice vintage Olds & Son single F french horn. The serial number 789614 would date this one to 1972. The bell engraving reads: Ambassador, Made By, F.E. Olds & Son, Fullerton, Calif. It's in good playing condition. The valves are smooth and fast and all the slides pull easily. There's a bit of a twist in the leadpipe just after the sleeve at the small end and some other dings. There are other dings here and there around the instrument but nothing major. The main leadpipe brace has been resoldered and the lower 3rd slide has also been resoldered. The case is in pretty nice condition. It has a school name stencilled on the outside. It doesn't have a mouthpiece with it.
