Malaysian Trumpet Snails help keep your aquarium clean by cleaning algae and tank waste. The snails burrow in your substrate during lighted tank hours and come out at night to eat waste, algae, and uneaten food. Malaysian Trumpet Snails do not eat live plants and help to keep the substrate cleaner and non-compacted. The snails are a livebearer meaning that they reproduce through having live birth. They are not like pond snails in the way they will only come out when the aquarium lights are low/off. They are very hardy and thrive in all water types. Excellent as food for puffers and loaches. Snails will be shipped in padded mailer wrapped in wet paper towel in a plastic bag.
