Antique AMERICAN VICTORIAN SOFA MADE IN THE USA 1840's CLASSIC AMERICAN VICTORIAN 1840'sFLAME MAHOGANYSOFA 29" DEEP X 72" LONGOften used in a center hall foyer in Greek Revival homes.It would have still been in many Southern homes at the time of the Civil War.It would have originally have had horsehair upholstery. It has a modern 1980's (?) fabric on it that is good condition with a small coffee stain. This sofa is structurally sound for it's age of approx. 175 years old. The right arm should be stabilized when it is reupholstered. The carving details on the back and legs are so beautiful.
