Character Baby - "Baby Jean" by J.D.Kestner - $425 - (Collierville, TN)
Up for your consideration is a stunning antique Character baby by J.D.K. (Kestner) commonly known as "Baby Jean". She is beautiful, original and complete. Her bisque head is without flaws or repairs and her coloring is exquisite. Her brown eyes open and close freely and retain eyelashes. Her body is excellent with no repainting and retains red lines between fingers and toes. She is marked on the back of her neck with J.D.K. and 15 plus another number I cannot make out. She is approximately 20" long. Only one small composition chip can be found on the back of her body by the neck. Also small surface composition crack on left forearm. Her body is marked in red on the back of her neck "made in Germany". She is dressed in an antique bonnet and dress with light pink smocking at the bodice. She also wears a diaper and antique booties. She is a beautiful example of exquisite craftsmanship from 100 years ago and is listed in Blue Book with a value of $1,500.00 Please ask any questions you may have before bidding as I want to be sure you are completely satisfied with your new addition.
