Phoenix Gold EQ-230 1/3 third octave equalizer with Plexiglass cover LID230 - $395 - (Stevens Point, WI)
Phoenix Gold EQ-230 1/3 octave equalizer. I purchased this new in 1994 and I'm the original owner. It has been in one car during that time that has been garaged both day and night. I see these EQs on eBay occasionall but they're usually really beat up or even rusty but that's not the case here. Condition is very good, visually it's a 9 out of 10. There is a 2mm chip in the paint on the top right edge that has been touched up and is minimally visible, and only if you're viewing it from closer than 2 feet. Other than that, there are no dings or scratches. The paint is glossy and there is no paint lift (which seems common in Phoenix Gold equipment of this age). The terminal block for connecting to the power source is included. This EQ comes with a protective plexiglass front panel, PG part # LID230. This was an option I special ordered directly from the factory when I purchased the EQ, and it includes gold thumbscrews and spacers to quickly attach/remove. See the last photo which is a scan of the panel's instruction sheet. The surface of the plastic is in very good shape with only a few minor scuffs (only visible from about a foot away), and there are no scratches, chips, or dings. It looks like this option was rare - mine is the only EQ I've seen it on. If you choose to use the EQ without the cover, the original gold factory screws will be provided. In addition to my photos, you'll see a scan of the original PG sales literature from when I purchased the EQ. The original box and packaging is included and the unit will be double-boxed for shipping. The EQ works great, but please remember that this is vintage equipment and it's more than 25 years old. There may be some static when operating the controls and sliders (which would not audible during normal listening, only during adjustment). I'm sure a bit of contact cleaner would address any issues. Item will be shipped to your verified PayPal address only. Please don't ask to have it shipped to a different address. Why
