Madame de Pompadour, Marie Antoinette, 18th Century Baroque Cosplay Costume Dress. Beautiful Replica of Madame de Pompadour sac back gown also known as Robe a la Francaise or Sacque or Sack Gown. An iconic gown of the entire 18th century the Robe a la Francaise or Sack Back features a pleated back. The Robe a la Francaise was commonly worn over side hoops, and as the century progressed, remained the style of choice for formal occasions. Gown is made from a beautiful Teal Taffeta material with 3 layers of white lace on the ruffle sleeves and peach oversized bows, gown is complete with Stomacher, Robe Gown, and Matching Under Skirt, complete with the famous flowers and oversized bows to complete the look for the Replica of Madame De Pompadour. Stomacher discreetly snaps at either side to the overdress to give a period look. All bows are attached with safty pins for easy removal for cleaning. The overdress features a lace up back hidden on the inside of the bodice if you need to make it fit a little more snug or loosen. This dress is brand new, never worn, I ordered for a period themed party and ended up not needing.
