Hand woven by Mayan weavers dating to the 80’s. Fully hand woven with an array of flora and fauna. The background is a riot of mottled reds, greens, pinks, purples and white, with a scrolling black border, sleeves and collar. Over this, the images are picked out in emerald, scarlet, sky blue, lavender, and a riot of supplementary hues. The weave is whimsical and charming, with stylized flowers (roses), and peacocks. Made in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. No closure and fully lined, side pockets and one inside side pocket. Wash care: Dry Clean. In excellent vintage condition.
