Antique Wire Civil War Era Spectacles Oblong Lens Crank Nose, Old Eye Glasses - $26 - (Carthage, MO)

Antique spectacles are Civil War Era with date range from 1835 to 1890 based on design. Prescription lenses are oblong/rectangle in shape. Frames have long straight temple arms that curve inwards just a bit at ends. The bridge is called a crank or upside down U. Condition: Metal looks like they were silver but have tarnished...but that is just a guess. Parts can feel a bit rough when running fingers over wire. Please view all photos for better idea. Right lens shows a little scratch toward bottom. Other than that, both lenses are in really good shape for the age. Date: 1835-1890Measurement: 4.25" across face, 4.5" temple length, 1" lens height and 1.25" wide
