GRETSCH BROADKASTER Toms 12" and 14" 1946 Bop Set - $850 - (Mays Landing, NJ)
Hi here is a pair of Gretsch Broadcaster Toms From July of 1946. They are wrapped in gold sparkle. Both are going to need some reworking of the bearing edges. 12" tom is 7 1/2" deep. Original mount was removed and replaced with a diamond mount. 14" tom is 12" deep. Also had the original mount removed. Someone installed 3 WFL floor tom legs on it!! These Gretsch toms are very rare and hard to find. The 12" tom has a July 1946 stamp on the inside. Also stamped is the Gretsch Logo and "Superstructure" Both dampeners are intact. The 14" tom doesn't have a date stamp that I could find. It may be under one of the large WFL washers that was added for the floor tom leg. It also has the Gretsch logo stamp and "Superstructure" Both dampeners are intact but the felts are gone. Both toms come with new Aquarian Vintage Heads. The gold sparkle wrap is in good condition with some obvious marking on them. They are tight to the drums. If you are looking to create your dream bop kit, here is a good start.
