Offered is this beautiful large antique majolica jardiniere planter from France. Made in the 1800's, this gorgous planter features large flowers and leaves on a dotted criss-cross background pattern. It sits on a carmel brown rim with 4 flaired feet. It has curved and ornate blue handles. The scalloped rim comes down in fleurs-de-lys patterns, just beautiful. The interior is the well known robbin-egg blue that is so well known for the Sarreguemines majolica factory. The bottom features impressed swags and acorns with the impressed pattern number "322". It is in excellent condition for its great age with no chips, cracks or repairs. It has a small ageline which does not go through on the rim as you see in the photo and glaze crazing on the inside bottom which is normal for antique majolica. It measures 16 inches long with handles, 9 inches wide and stands 7.25 inches tall.
