This box measures 2 5/8" by 1 1/6". The gilded interior bears the 84 zolotniki mark, which indicates a silver purity of .875. It is also stamped with the mark of Moscow, the mark of assayer Nikolay Dubrovin, who worked between 1822-1855, and an unidentified maker's mark. Aside from being age-worn and a small dent on the dog's nose, the box is undamaged.
