Truly Magnificent Steinway Concert Grand Piano model C - $25,000 - (New York, NY)
Up for sale is a turn of the century Rare hand painted Victorian steinway and sons model C concert grand piano made in 1897. Piano has the most magnificent original paintings and even more rare window pane legs ( something that wasn't done at the time) the case as can be seen in photos is peeling in many areas and has 2 possible options either to strip it or to have the areas of paintings restored, there are special craftsman and artist that we know who can restore the original damaged flaking areas to almost original state, the cost we were quoted was around $10,000. This piano as u can see is a one of a kind, custom built and delivered to a private client in New York City, directly from the factory. We have the history reports and being that Steinway doesn't release the names anymore of the original owners we don't know for sure but we do know that it must have been to someone very famous or wealthy just from the custom work that was don't To this piano at the time of completion. Piano does play But is all original and will require a full rebuild ... obviously the price allows u do that cause we are selling it below wholesale value !
