The Chelsea Shipwreck She was built in 1919 for Texaco and originally named Texaco 145. On February 10, 1957 the Chelsea ran aground off Rockport MA . While under tow by the Coast Guard Cutter Evergreen the Tanker capsized and slipped beneath the waves. Both tow lines had to be axed so that the Cutter Evergreen would not be carried down with her. Divers will find the Chelsea in 45 to 60 feet of water. Her bow section is intact. Amidships and stern are scattered. The wreck is also known as the Hollywood Wreck.
