Vtg Antique large CI OILERS steam engine thresher sawmill gas farm tractor equip - $50 - (Drakesville, IA)

Unknown use. I have seen similar used to oil drive gears on very old tractors. Attached to a board with red paint when I got them, but may not have been original. Part nos are R15 and R16. Measure 7X3.5X3 inches. Two holes it the bottom. One for mounting and one for wicking out the oil. Probably filled with cotton waste, then topped off with oil. One trip thru E tank. Cotter pins need replaced.
