For sale, AN OLD DATED 1948 (71 YEARS OLD) & BELIEVE TOUGHER TOWN old DOG LICENSE / DOG TAX TAG / EXONUMIA which says "1948 DOG TAX SAFFORD ARIZ. #36 (LOW NUMBER)", which was located in region of SAFFORD, ARIZONA THIS IS A TOUGH TOWN TO FIND EXONUMIA FROM......AND NOTE THE VERY LOW ISSUE NUMBER The historic town of Safford is located in Graham County.....not far from towns of Pima and Duncan Arizona.....and as a sidebar, one of my all-time favorite movies "Lost in America" was filmed in the town...........22...........22...........22........THIS IS A NICE LOOKING OLD DOG LICENSE, AND VERY COLLECTIBLE....IT IS ABOUT 71 YEARS OLD, AND MOST PEOPLE BACK IN THE DAY JUST DID NOT HAVE THE FORESIGHT TO SAVE THESE, OFTEN DESTROYED OR RECYCLED IN WARTIME METAL SCRAP DRIVES, ETCCAME OUT OF A COLLECTION OF WESTERN DOG LICENSES, WATCH FOR FUTURE LISTINGS...this one found in Safford back in 1970sThis is a neat old license.....I am not an expert on these...came out of a collection, original owner had a grouping of old dog licenses in the back of the notebook.....watch for future listingsDog license is brass metal, pentagonal shaped, about 30mm x 27mm in size, and it displays nicely.
