Marion Keisker SUN Records Studio signed note Discovered Elvis Presley - $395 - (Austin, TX)

Thank you for viewing my auction today. I am offering the winning bidder an actual business letter that was sent on April 24, 1953 to Sun Records Jim Bulleit (Sam Phillips partner at the time) from Mountain Distributors in regard to obtaining the distribution of SUN Records in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. What makes this letter so historical is the fact that Marion Keisker of SUN Records has written a note to Jim Bulleit on it and initialed it afterward. Her note reads as such: "Jim, Please advise us what you do on this as we will know about billing orders, etc., M.K." As most true Elvis fans know, it was this lady, Marion Keisker who discovered Elvis. With her famous question to him of "What Kind of music do you play?" and with Elvis repeating, "I play all kinds" and was then and there that the ball started rolling. As for Marion's question to Jim in her note, Jim responds on the bottom of the page "Ok- 40 cent job Memphis 30 day credit Ok. JB" What's also an interesting note about this letter is the date. This letter actually sat on a desk in Sun Records at about the same time Elvis first started coming to SUN to record his first record for his mother. I am sure this this letter was in a file cabinet or such when Elvis first walked through that famous door of SUN. I accept Paypal only. I can only accept bids and ship this item within the USA. Shipping, Handling and Insurance is FREE!
