Vintage Arlidge & Son Hand Wrought Vanity Tray For sale is a vintage Arts & Crafts solid copper hand wrought vanity tray. I am unsure if this is a dressing table vanity tray or a Men's shaving vanity tray. This tray is 8 7/8" long and 6 7/8" wide. The center lower portion is 5 3/4" by 3 3/4" and is approximately 1/2" deep. There are five indentations in the lower rectangle that serve as feet for the tray. It is a tiny bit warped which prevents it from sitting completely flat. This tray weighs just over 1 lb. The bottom is stamped "SOLID COPPER HAND WROUGHT ARLIDGE & SON". as you can see from the pictures there is some discoloration on the top side. I suspect when made this had a thin layer of clear lacquer applied to deter oxidation. The discoloration is probably from that lacquer breaking down. The item has not been cleaned or polished. Being solid copper it should polish up nicely if that is the finish you desire. Please study all the photos and read the condition description.
