Job DescriptionJob Number: R0048408 Copy Editor and Quality Control Specialist Key Role: Work as part of a team in a fast-paced, daily electronic publishing environment leveraging ability in copy editing and application of editorial style guidelines, application of Web styles and policies to ensure quality control, and editing of HTML code for compliance with coding standards. Work on routine maintenance projects to ensure quality standards, including broken link, orphan content reporting, and ad-hoc reports, as needed. Work on special projects, as needed. Required background: 3 years of background in a daily publishing environment with print or Web 2yrs of background with working in Web-based publishing using a content management system Background with HTML Background with Ms office applications, including Ms word and Ms excel Knowledge of Web-based publishing and writing Knowledge of Web publishing, including best practices, such as length, style, tone, interactivity, click-through, audience loyalty
