This Buffet Crampon clarinet was a product of the Buffet french factory during a period referred to as the " golden age of R 13 " production.This model was and has been the most popular professional model, named after its designer R.Robert CarreeThis is a beautiful original wood instrument made of the African blackwood grenadilla prized for its beauty, hardness and wear resistance.Later models of this R 13 design were fabricated with modifications only to return to the original specifications.This professional grade B flat instrument has been used both in symphony performances and progressive jazz presentations.The clarinet Is all original with no cracks or defects , silver plated keys , a Selmer mouthpiece and ligature, howsed in a velvet lined case .Buffet Crampon SN:38239. This beautiful clarinet is offered by the original owner for sale from his private instrument collection. It has been impeccably maintained, however since a severe stroke the artist has had limited use of the clarinet. After a recent complete overhaul it is in mint playing condition. The attached photographs other than the photograph in the case are ones taken after the overhaul performed by an acclaimed buffet restoration facility.
