Very elegant edged glass matched pair of vintage perfume bottles - $199 - (San Antonio, TX)

Probably Czechoslovakian, the glass perfume bottles each have a ground glass polished and frosted round stopper. The center of the circle has been carved out and the figure of a woman in colonial American dress with a gentlemen over her hand waiting to give her a kiss. Around the exterior surface of the president of the circle the edge has been carved and edged with a repeating motif of roses and vines. The hand carving and work on the prism is excellent, the best that was produced in the pre-World War I era. The bottom of the stopper is ground and polished and does not have a stem. The base is heavy lead glass about 4 inches across at the widest point. Front and back have been carved with a geometric pattern consisting of bright prisms and starburst. The bottom is cut and polished the edges are beveled neither of the perfume bottles are marked and starburst. Neither of the perfume bottles are marked.
