FOR SALE JAPANESE STERLING SILVER HAND WROUGHT IRIS GOBLET / CUP. MADE BY KUHN & KOMOR. Examples in museum and private collections - including the Kahlili collection. Stamped "Kuhn & Komor - STERLING". Double wall construction only found in the Meiji silver. Hand chased iris in exceptionally HIGH relief from the surface. Rising from gentle stream. The moving water displayed as series of long sweeping lines. A design technique specific to Meiji arts for centuries. The GOBLET / CUP was never monogrammed. SIZE: 3 3/4" high, 2 1/2" diameter at the top. WEIGHT - 157 grams. Very fine condition. Rich sterling patina. Retains its original detail.
